My Tornado Experience Empty My Tornado Experience

Post by Snowy Yialina Mon Dec 24, 2012 12:08 pm

The Scariest Encounter of my life so far!

At exactly 17:55 (5 minutes to 6pm on the 26th of April 2012)I heard a weird swooshing sound like a vacuum cleaner. For obvious reasons I thought it was the wind outside. But I looked at the trees and they weren't even moving in fact they were calmer then than they have ever been for the whole time I lived in Rogiet which is 12 almost 13 years. After about a minute I saw a Tornado zoom past my house. I'd say it was about 100 yards in front of my house and 100 feet tall, the size in diameter was probably the same size as an average sized bedroom and rotated at 40 miles per hour. I was pretty amazed I saw one right in front of my eyes. It lasted for about 2 minutes and then it just evaporated into thin air.

But what was very unusual was no thunder, no lightning, no rain, not even any really dark clouds, just low flying, perfectly harmless, white clouds.

My prediction is that all the wind around other places must of met here and were different extremes in temperatures, and must of been forced up into the air, by an updraft of warm air, and then the cold air came to fill in the gaps and the gaps and so forth, this must of created a spiral pattern and made it rotate and turn into a perfectly developed Tornado. But what was weird is it wasn't connected to a thundercloud or anything, it was just there, like it was it's own cloud It's self. It was perfectly straight and it virtually came out of nowhere.

THIS WAS WITNESSED BY IEUAN DARKNELL IN ROGIET.

    HERE'S WHAT IT/I FELT LIKE

When I saw and heard the sounds of the tornado, I felt like I was put into one of those big Tornado Documentaries, and I saw one of the most rarest thing to happen. I would say the percentage of that to happen, happen in Rogiet, let alone happen at all, is probably 0.00001%. Amazingly it didn't change direction and cause havoc, it just went by like a lone feather floating in the breeze, completely un noticed besides from me. No one saw it besides me and no one was injured hurt or killed.

It was probably one of the most incredible things to happen to me in my life.

Tornadoes usually don't last that long.

Interesting... I've never seen one. But I have seen a dust devil, which is similar but the wind isn't as strong.
